i love//silhouettes
i have a complete and total love for silhouettes. historically, they have very humble beginnings, being paper cut-outs given away as party favors and in some cases, used as an affordable way of capturing the profile of a loved one when photographs weren’t so readily available and affordable. they are simple graphically, yet incredibly personal, and i just adore them.

one of the first questions i get asked when people find out that i’m a designer is what my favorite color is. the answer is simple: i don’t have one. how could i possibly choose? i do tend to go through phases with colors, and i gotta say, turquoise has stuck with me the longest. i love it, and come to find out, apparently so does pantone who named it the 2010 color of the year:
