Our Adoption Pen Fundraiser
If you follow me on Facebook, you know by now that we’ve started a pen turning fundraiser to help with some of the expenses of bringing our child home from Uganda. We have a Chick-fil-a night that will benefit our family set for March 1st and our initial thought was to just turn some to have them to sell there. Aaron taught a turning class one night and brought a pen home and on a whim, I put a picture on Facebook. The response we’ve gotten has been so awesome and we’ve been very thankful. In order to make ordering a little easier, I wanted to create a post here where people could look through the selections of wood and see samples of pens already created with more ease than having to navigate my profile and photo albums.
Each pen is made handmade from an African-native wood by Aaron. I hate to brag on him so indiscreetly, but I’m really proud him. I’m proud of his talents, his hard work, and most of all, his heart. I’m so grateful to be on this journey with him.
So, if you’re interested in ordering, you can either leave a message for me here at any time or you can e-mail me at samantha.sapp@gmail.com. Be sure to include your wood selection and what color pen kit you prefer: silver, gold or copper. For each pen, we’re requesting a donation of $25. Also, feel free to share this post with your friends and family! We’ve entered into a period of time in the adoption process where we’re basically waiting for some things to happen before we can do much else on our end (I’ll be posting soon about all that), so the busier we are taking orders and turning, the better!
